Colle delle Finestre

Bike routes

Some proposed itineraries refer you to the dedicated pages.

Very popular with mountain bike lovers, the route develops along the ridge that borders

the border between Val Chisone and Val di Susa. It is a military road, a real one

engineering jewel that starting from Colle delle Finestre reached

Colle dell'Assietta passing through Mount Pintas and Gran Serin, as well as Ciantiplagna (2849 m)

that we set ourselves as a destination for this itinerary. Pedaling on the ridge you will have

the possibility of admiring two different panoramas running at the same time

parallels along the slopes of the same mountain.

LAKE OF MONCENISIO

monce.jpg

A must to enjoy one of the most beautiful views in the Valley
has to offer, in the heart of the Mont Cenis, suitable for a family MTB day. Once you have left the car
at the Moncenisio dam, you descend along the north side of the hill to the shores of the lake.
Here the circular route leaves you the opportunity to cycle around the perimeter in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction; both
in cases bring with you a camera or an action camera because the landscape
it will leave you speechless. Once the ring is closed, get ready
for the return ascent towards the Italian-French border, from where the sunset will seem even more beautiful.

MOUNT CHABERTON

Let's go to the discovery of the highest military road in Europe by MTB in company

by Diego Drago, cyclist, cycle-mountaineer, tour guide
of the Piedmont Region and MTB guide. The itinerary is taken from his

book "Susa Valley by Mountain Bike".
Reading the title, who I have already done, certainly does not ask why, to whom

you never did, you have to give
explanations. The Chaberton, a must, a shaped mountain

of pyramid, which dominates the town
of Cesana Torinese to be precise, it is often seen on other excursions

in the Valley, from other angles.
A must, because the Chaberton, at least once is to be done, you cannot leave it

there and you absolutely have to climb it
from the Italian side, both for a bit of patriotism and because actually

it is unthinkable to climb it
from the French side. Anyone who is fond of military fortifications knows what

it says when
we are talking about Chaberton, vice versa, it is highly recommended to inquire

about it, first to get on it, why

knowledge becomes motivation, it becomes a must.

difficult path, inquire.
